Chapter 6: Ethan's Secret

Please let me remind you, the story plot and concept is completely false…

THROUGH THE EYES OF NATE
_______________________________________________

I really don’t get it. What does Cal see in that bastard? They’ve been dating for weeks now. Why can’t she the idiot inside him? Well, I surely know what she doesn’t…

*Flashback*

“So he says to me, ‘How are we gonna take the butter off?’ and I’m like, ‘Really Skip? Really? Butterflies don’t have butter on them!’” I laughed along with Carl and Todd.
“Ah, sometimes stupidity is the best comedy,” Todd implied.
“Yeah, if so, then you are the most comedic guy I know,” I messed up his hair.
        “Very funny…” he sarcastically replied.
“Hey, isn’t that Cal’s boyfriend?” Carl pointed to a dude who looked like Ethan. The dude turned around and we saw that it was him.
“Why is he still here?” I was confused…

*Flashback interrupted*

“Hey, are you going to the Winter Dance?” I heard Cal’s voice pop up in my mind like a speech bubble.
        “Oh, probably not,” I replied.
        “Aw, why?”
“Got… stuff… to- uh, to eat,”
“That’s the lamest excuse I have ever heard in my 14 years of life,”
“I know you, you’re probably here to tell me somethin’ bout Back-stab- uh, I mean, Ethan,”
        “Yup,” –long pause–
        “Well?”
“HE ASKED ME TO THE DANCE!”
“Yippee,” I sarcastically moaned. She whacked me hard on the shoulder.
“Can’t you be a little bit more supportive?”
        “I jus-“
“Why do always put him down?”
“COZ I DON’T WANT YOU TO GET HURT!” I yelled at her innocent face, “I need to go,” I left her on the stairs and ran away. Shit my stupidity.

“What’s been happenin’?” the bastard stopped me while I was running through the canteen. I wiped my tears…
“Get away from Cal!” I screamed.
“HEY! I’m not the one who’s leaving her ALONE next year!”
        “Don’t make this about me!”
        “Maybe it is,”
“Shut up! Just because Apple’s leaving with Ashley to Japan to help on a Bleach manga while I’m transferring doesn’t mean she’s alone!”
“You haven’t heard have you? Been stuck in your little world?”
        “WHAT?”
“Julie and Alex are going to Paris coz they won a trip.  And that’s DURING your leave!”
“Whatever dude, until I’m gone, keep your disgusting hands of Cal!”
“I won’t need my hands! My LIPS can do the talking for me…”
“SHUT UP YOU FREAKING PERVERT!” instincts took over when I sucker punched him in the face.
“FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!” the school students crowded around us and ‘raised the roof’. A familiar voice broke through the sound of the crowd as I was beating up the bastard.
“Get off him!” she shoved me off the bleeding bastard as I blanked out, “Oh my gosh, are you okay?” she asked him, “What happened?” before he could speak, she snapped at me, “WHAT DID YOU DO TO HIM?”
“This guy fist-slapped me right in the jaw!” he told her.
“WHAT?” she started to freak, “WHY IN THE RIGHT MIND WOULD YOU DO THAT?!?!?!?!”

I couldn’t answer her…
        I couldn’t bear to see her hurt…
I couldn’t bear to see her believe him over me…

[AFTER SCHOOL, AT THE STAIRS OF THE SCHOOL ENTRANCE]

AAAGH! I wish I could make Ethan cry without Cal screaming at me. It’s hard to kill a dude who has such a massive guard.

And I’m not talking ‘bout Cal. Her sister’s the one I’m scared of. Those sisters are always ‘Mess with family, mess with ME’ and Apple can get pretty defensive.

“We need to talk,” I suddenly heard goldilocks speak to me.
“Whaddaya’ want, blondie?” I finally got round to insulting his hair.
“Let’s go to Coffee Bean for a nice, uh, chat.”
“Al-right,” I didn’t want to but I agreed.

[AT COFFEE BEAN]

“Look dude, if you whack me one more time, I swear I’m gonna tell her,” he blackmailed.
“That’s not what we agreed!” I got mad.
“I guess that doesn’t apply if you hit me every time you see me!” I slammed my hands on the table as I stood to shout in his face.
“NOT IF I TELL HER FIRST!” I smirked as I spoke.
“NOT IF I GET TO HER BEFORE YOU!!” he repeated my action, changing my expression – I got infuriated. I sat down slowly, smiling again.
“Not if I’m faster,” I paused to cross my arms on the table while leaning closer, “And you know I am,” he was stumped; he had no clue what to say.
“But I’ve got a car,” his smile returned. I cackled…
“But I’ve got your car keys,” I showed him his keys dangling on the tip of my finger, I’m so glad I decided to steal it. He looked in his pockets as I ran out the door, going as fast as my legs could carry me.

Where would Cal be? I checked my watch, 4.27 (PM if not obvious enough). YES, she’s still at her part-time job! I’ve got 3 minutes to catch her before she leaves!

Sorry peopuhlz, I know I said that the next chapter’s Alex’s and that this was supposed to be the conclusion of what Ethan’s about but it got just WAY too long. Don’t worry, the next’ll be the conclusion.

Chapter 5: Seduction

*None of the following story is true and the storyboard is completely fictional. The character Ethan is only 12% based on a true person. ENJOY.

THROUGH THE EYES OF CAL
_____________________________________

I can’t believe that of all people, I am the one who has to make the posters for the winter school dance. I mean, really? There are hundreds of students in this school, but he had to choose me.

My back is ACHING! Lying down on the bed while writing is actually quite painful. GAH! I’m sick of it! SICK OF IT! I’m so annoyed. BAH! I want chocolate… so badly

          “Chocolate?” Appi questioned.
          “Huh, what?” I blurred out.
“You wrote ‘chocolate’ all over the poster your making,” she giggled.
“Oh, crap. I’m supposed to finish all these by next Monday!”
“Oh gee, what a bummer,” she said as she sat on the bed.
          “I AM SERIOUS!”
“Why do you have to make these again?”
Coz, Derrick is the head of the decoration committee and he wants me to play a part in the behind the scenes of the get-together of people in love then all I heard was yuck yuck yuck,”
          “Derrick as in cousin Derrick?”
          “That’s the stylista,”
“Ugh. Plus, love is so overrated,”
“Seems 83% of our school’s population would disagree,”
“You need to stop. Like, now!”
          “Whyyyy?” I whined.
          “You’re overworking yourself!”
“But sis, I really-” then all of a sudden she walked off, “That’s rude!”
She walked back in a moment later, “Hmm, did someone start dreaming of uh, I don’t know, Beryl’s-”
“B-B-B-B-Bitter Sweet?!” I started drooling, “GIMME GIMME GIMME!” she quickly hid it behind her when I lunged towards it, falling to the ground.
“Nu-uh, not until you come with me to see Monkey Cars 3D!”
“Monkey Cars 3D?! Ya, duh!” I looked up at her, I was still on the ground.
“Yipee!” she started dancing around and twirling.

I stood up and we went to partay! YEAH! I couldn’t wait for Monkey Cars, IN THREE D! Oh, wait.

          “CHOCOLATE,” I demanded.
“Right, there you go,” she placed it in my hand.

NOW, we can yay, I thought to myself. Yay.

[AT THE MOVIES]

          >BOOM!<
“IT’S LIKE THEY’RE ACTUALLY THROWING THE CARS AT YOU!” I SCREAMED. Ahem, I screamed…
          >BOOM!<
“YEAH, WE HAVE TO SCREAM TO GET PAST THE NOISE OF THE MOVIE!” I made up from the mellow noises I heard from Appi which were no match to the-
          >BOOM!<
noises! See? Even my thoughts have to be loud!
          “AM I FORGETTING SOMETHING?” I think I am…
          “OKAY, MAYBE LATER!”

Huh, weird. Maybe I’m too tense. Hallucinations… CHAKRAS, CHAKRAS! (You’ll only understand this if you watch Avatar: Legend of Aang SERIES, DON’T FREAKING SUPPORT THE MOVIE!)

[NEXT MORNING, BREAKFAST, B4 SCHOOL STARTS]

Argh, why did I let Appi seduce me with chocolate? Now, I have to finish these at school! I mean, I already have tons of homework and now I have to make posters… THANKS SIS, THANKS!

“Thanks for what?” sis mumbled while bringing her cocoa to the table.
“Huh, what?” I blurred out for the second time, “Don’t say I wrote that on the posters too!”
“You’re not even touching one! And no, you said it,”
          “Oh, nothing,”
“Alright, what ev. You want cocoa?”
          “Neh,”
          “I have tini-mellows!”
“Tini-mellows?” No Cal, don’t! “Stop it!”
          “Saying tini-mellows?”
“NO! I mean stop dragging me away from my work!”
“Oh, but, you aren’t doing any. I could have sworn that I said that minutes ago,”
          “Right. Then, okay,”
          “Tini-mellows!”

[LATER AT SCHOOL, FIRST PERIOD, IN CLASS]

I heard that there was a new student coming in today. I think it’s weird, why would someone change school in the middle of a semester? Maybe he or she got kicked out of school.

“Okay, class, meet the new student. Please introduce yourself,” Ms Major Heeley spoke.
“Hey, uh, my name’s Ethan. I, uh, am 14 like the rest of you. And, uh, that’s about it,” the dude blushed as he spoke.
          “Alright, please take your seat,”

He walked around the class as everyone found some way to cover up the seat beside them. English Literature was a crude class. Nobody had a partner. It was like a war zone. I decided to take pity on the dude and give him the seat beside mine.

          “Thanks,” he re-blushed.
“No prob. Just be careful around the rest. They bite. Literally,” I spooked him.

I took out the posters and started pasting and colouring. Sitting 3rd from the back was a very useful ‘tool’ in class.

“Hey, watch ‘ya doin’?” he nosily poked around my glitter glues.
“None of your-,” I stopped myself, remembering that I was the one who got him to sit there, “I’m making posters for the school’s Winter Dance,”
“Oh, cool, cool,” he acted cool.
“Yeah and why aren’t you paying attention?”
          “Coz I’m making friends,”
“Look, it’s nothing personal but the boys in our ‘clique’ really hate newbies,”
“It’s fine. They don’t control your life,”
“Are you suggesting that I ignore them for ahem, you?” he sudden bended in closer staring at my eyes, “What are you doing?”
“Your eyes are so hazel. It’s gorgeous,” he softly said. Then I suddenly heard Ms Major Heeley’s voice,
“Ethan, in this class, students are not permitted to flirt,”
“Sorry, Ms Major,” the dude mumbled as I embarrassedly blushed.
“Thanks a lot, Mysterious Dude!” I rolled up my textbook and whacked him on the shoulder.
“Not my fault she has a keen eye,” excuses, excuses.
“Not my fault you said that!” I shot back.
“It sorta is. You are the one with the hazel eyes,”
“Says the dude with boring grey pupils. What, you jealous?”
“Yeah,” he sort of started to daze into the clouds.
“Wow. Your eyes explain you. You are so grey. Lonely little imp, poor you,”
“Is it your nature to insult?”
“Is it your nature to be insult-able?” then there was a ‘stare-down’ moment.
“Touche…” he finally broke the silence. Then the bell rang.
“AAAAAGH! Look what you did! You distracted me from finishing the posters!” I rolled up the textbook again and whacked him on the head.
“First thing; OW! And second, I can help you… I mean, maybe we can work together to finish the posters after… school?” he asked.
“But I-, I need to-, I’m very-, ah, okay, fine,” I gave up.
          “Cool. Coffee Bean?”
          “Okay,”
          “See you there?”
          “Okay,”
“Alright then. It’s on me,” he winked at me then left. Hehe, *blush*.

          Why do I feel so…… fluffy? I don’t think it’s a feeling… but I feel it…

[LUNCH TIME]

AAH! I’m scared. I really want Grey to sit here. But, what if they don’t want him to. They don’t control me. But they control half the table! Breathe, breathe. Whoo. Hee hoo. Okay, okay. Relax…

I walked to the cashier with my lasagne and hoped he was there. Instead I met Appi. Piew! Now I am doubly afraid.

          “Hey, Co,” Appi greeted me.
          “Hey, sis,”
          “Why so glum?”
“Uh, I still have to… finish those posters! Yup, that’s why,”
“I see. That’s also probably why you had to think of an excuse, right?” No, she’s onto me!
“What? No! No, ‘course not! I just have a dazed mind, that’s all,”
          “Uh huh, that’s why…”
“Look, can we just grab a seat?”
          “Hasty,”
          “I am not!”
“Ah, that’s the Co that I know,” we both giggled then walked to our usual seat.

At that time, everyone else had already sat down and started eating already. I wonder if Grey managed to find his own seat. Him being all cocky, it must be easy, right?

“Hey, Hazel,” I heard him behind me, at a reasonable distance.
“Oh, Grey, uh… hi!” I muttered.
“Who’s Hazel?” Todd asked with an eyebrow up.
“It’s her,” Grey gestured toward me, stepping one foot closer.
“Her name’s Cal, smartshot,” Carl snapped.
“I know that. I call her Hazel,”
“And lemme guess,” Ashley started, “Your name’s not Grey?”
“Yup, the name’s Ethan,” he replied.
“So, what? What do ya want? A happy hug? A goodbye gift?” Nate added.
“I just wanted to see if I could join you guys,” he calmly asked.
“Why should we let you join us?” Carl was getting annoying.
“Well,” Grey started then looked at me with hopeful eyes. I looked around and saw everyone staring at me.
“Why you all staring at me?” I let my thoughts aloud.
“He was staring first,” Todd replied.
“Yeah, we just wanted to see why,” Hayley added.
“Uh, I guess it’s coz… I. Want. Him. To. Sit. Here,” I followed Grey’s mouthing slowly.
“Really, you do?” Alex asked me.
“Hey, he’s not bad,” I explained, “He’s just like you know, trying to find a pack. Like Carl was. Or like Julie was,”
“Alright, fine,” Nate took command, “All those who think that we should give him a chance, raise your hands,” the girls were hesitant but soon later raised their hands. None of the boys did though; it made things even more awkward.
“And since girls outnumber boys, he’s welcome to stay,” Cindy announced.
          “Yay, I guess.” I ‘cheered’.
“Fine, but that doesn’t mean we’re all buddy-buddies here okay, dude?” Todd assured.
“Of course. I wouldn’t want to intrude,” Grey replied.

The rest of lunch went splendidly horrid. And by splendidly, I mean horribly. So it went horribly horrid.

Sorry Ashley, your chapter is in chapter 8. Please be patient, it'll be worth it!

Chapter 4: The Other Side of the Story

Hey guys, this chapter is basically Cal's view of chapter 2 and 3 but most importantly, the results of Cindy and Nate's fight. Enjoy!

THROUGH THE EYES OF CAL
_______________________________________________

[RECESS TIME, DAY OF THE TEDDY BEAR]

I can't help thinking about little teddy-Nate, it was the cutest thing I'd ever seen. It was holding a heart which said 'I Love You'. He probably didn't mean it that way though. Ah, cute thing.

I walked over to the counter to get a burger. I waited in line, hoping I could have the chance to see Nate. I grabbed my cheeseburger and walked to the cashier. I looked around for him and banged into someone.

Obviously, cliche-ly, it was Nate. LOL. It felt awkward for awhile, then finally we walked opposite ways. I almost forgot to get a soda. At the drinks counter, Julie, Alex, Apple and Ashley caught me.

"Hey, so, I heard about the teddy," Ashley nudged me.
"Yeah, he loves you," Julie teased.
     "Oh, shut up," I blushed.
"Aw, come on. Isn't it obvious he likes you?" Sis sort-of inclined.
"No. And I'm hungry so leave me to eat in peace, please," I paid and left as they told me,
"Okay, fine. Catch up to 'ya later,"

I stumbled to our usual table. For some reason, Cindy came to me...

     "Hey, Cal,"
"Hey," I looked up to see her.
     "Well, bye,"
"Bye? Okay, bye.." What in the world? Hi, bye? Strange girl...

[NEXT DAY, AFTER SCHOOL, FYI, IT WAS A FRIDAY]

I went to my locker to put back all my books and to take out my homework. As I put in my Ad-Maths workbook, my English Literature textbook fell to the ground, giving out a 'splat'.

I reached out for it but someone beat me to it.
"Clumsy Cal," Ashley mumbled when she passed it to me.
     "Is there any other Cal?"
     "How about Nate-lover Cal?"
     "Shut up, dude,"
"I am NOT a dude, I am a dudet. Plus, when are you gonna 'make your move'?"
"Make my move?" I questioned her 'insightful' plan, "Really?"
"Yeah, why don't you ask him to lunch or something?"
"I bet he has better things to do,"
"Okay, okay. Whatever Miss-Wait-Around," she turned around and walked away.

Hmm, lunch? Actually, why not? I better hurry to ask him. What if he has other plans? Ah, who cares.

I slammed my locker shut and ran out the front doors. Cindy was standing in front of him, facing away from me. He on the other hand, waved to me.

"Hi, Cal!" he smiled. Cindy turned around.
"Hey, wanna grab some pasta at Kitchen Creatures?" I hoped for the answer I wanted.
"Sure," YES! I grabbed his hand and ran off school grounds to Kitchen Creatures which was just a few blocks down. I heard the faint sound of Cindy's voice. I bet she was screaming. Double LOL.

[AT HOME, AFTER LUNCH, STILL EXCITED]

I was reading a book while lying upside-down on my bed. Guess what? I was listening to my iPod too. Paramore's the BEST. And Demi Lovato. And Selena too, I guess. I felt my phone vibrating on my tummy, I couldn't help but laugh. It was so ticklish but it was the only way I'd answer when using my iPod.

     "Yallo?" I asked.
"Hey, do you and Apple want to get your karaoke on?"
"Hold on," I held the phone to my chest and screamed aloud, "HEY SIS, YOU FEEL LIKE KARAOKE-ING?"
     "WHAT?"
     "DO YOU FEEL LIKE KA-RA-O-KE-ING?"
     "I CAN'T HERE YOU!"
"DO. YOU. FEEL. LIKE. SINGING. KARAOKE?!?!?!"
"I HONESTLY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU'RE RAMBLING ABOUT!"

I sighed and got up and walked to her room. She was reading too. We both LOVE Twilight!

"Do you want to go out for karaoke?"
     "Why not?"
"Yeah, okay, we're game," I told Alex who was still on the phone.
     "Cool,"
     "What time?"
     "Meet us in... 10?"
     "Minutes?"
     "Duh,"
"Kay, bye," I hung up and got changed. We only went to Red Box for karaoke so discussing the location was not necessary.

[ARRIVING AT RED BOX]

"CAL?" I heard Nate. Yay, Nate!
     "Nate!" I alarmedly screeched.
"Hey, Cal," Cindy looked bugged when she greeted me.
     "Hey," I said fast.
"Go on, ask him," sis shoved me forward slightly. I had mixed emotions on doing that, on one hand there'll be Nate, on the other, we're SO not alone. And that includes Cindy.
"Nate, wanna join us?" Oops, I'm supposed to say, 'Guys, wanna join us?'
     "Sure,"
     "Nate!" Cindy yelled.
     "What?!" he snapped back.
"You keep leaving me behind! For... HER! Why do you like hanging out with that SKEEZE so much?" Skeeze? How insulting...
"You know what, Cindy? You've been really uptight these few days, I think you need to just sit back in your quite dark cell and get some rest!" Nate looked fierce.

We checked in and then it got REALLY awkward.

"Hey, you okay?" I asked him, the troubled Nate.
"You think I was too harsh, don't you?" he replied with a question.
"I think it was just a slip of the tongue,"
     "A lethal one,"
"It's okay. She'll understand when you explain,"
"Just the matter of what to explain," he muttered under his breath.
     "What?"
     "Nothing,"

[NEXT MONDAY, BEFORE SCHOOL STARTS, BY NATE'S LOCKER]

I wonder if Nate's okay. Things got a little rough on Friday...

     "Hey," I gleefully smiled.
     "Yeah...." he 'moaned'.
     "Why so glum?"
"Come on, don't act so blind. You know what I said to Cindy was cruel," he frowned.
     "Then talk to her, apologize,"
"UGH, would YOU talk to someone who said you lived in a dark, lonely cell ?"
     "No, b-"
     "SEE?" he cut me off.
"Why you getting so pissed at me?" Yeesh.
     "I'm sorry, very sorry. Really,"
"Maybe I should talk to her for you,"
     "You'd do that?"
     "Of course,"
"Thank you SO SO SO SO SO much."

[RECESS TIME, CAFETERIA, CINDY TIME]

Okay, time to talk to Cindy. Be careful, Cal. At a time like this, either one of them could explode.

     "Hey, Cindy,"
"Why are YOU talking to me, what, gonna steal my actual interest in life too?"
"What? No, I just came here to tell you that Nate wants to apologise. Why are you so mad at me?"
"Duh, everytime YOU come around, I become invisible and suddenly you're Nate's world,"
     "What are you talking about?"
"I'm talking about the fact that I asked him to join me for lunch but YOU got him!"
     "You asked him to lunch?"
"Yeah! Right before you stole him away!"
     "I didn't know-"
"It doesn't matter now anyway, he doesn't notice a thing,"
"What do you mean doesn't notice a thing?"
"No matter how flirty you get, he's blind to it. All he sees us as are competitive friends,"
"What flirty? I don't like him," *trembling*
"No matter how many times you say that, it's not true. Look, as long as its not said straight, he'll never think once about us differently,"
"You said us! So you do like him!"
"Don't change the subject. Let me just give it to you straight, I don't like him, you're crazy about him and he's as blind as a snake is deaf. Get it?" She got up from her seat and trotted away. I wonder what that was all about. Huh.

[BUSINESS STUDIES CLASS]

AH, I'm so caught up about what Cindy said. Should I finally tell him? You know, that I like him? Oh, stop fantasizing about it.

But then again, Ash was right when she told me to ask him out. It worked really well. Maybe he has feelings for me. And maybe, just maybe, at the same time, I'M REARING UNICORNS! (BTW, she is scolding herself for fantasizing) Yeah, of course, and when do we get together?

WHEN DOVES SWIM! But I guess, I rather regret doing it than wondering my whole life about the world where he knew and what would he do. Yeah, I'm SO gonna regret this. I took out a piece of paper from my memo pad which I was supposed to be writing down crucial notes.

     Dear Nate,
I hope you don't react weirdly to this but the truth is,
     I really like you.

I hope it works. Cause I'm living la vida loca... definitely loca.

[LUNCH TIME, EARLY CLASS RELEASE]

Coincidentally, our class ended early today so we have like 7 minutes of extra lunch time. I ran to Nate's locker and slipped in the note. I'll I can do now is pray and wait.

Nate's class was released not too long later. Realising that, I walked aside and acted natural. He went to his locker and here it comes...

As he stared at the note I stepped closer and closer, then finally someone broke the silence.

"YOU like HIM?" I heard Carl gasping. Darn, I didn't think about the liabilities...
"Shut up!" I turned around and saw Alison, Nate's sis, standing there. OH MY GOSH, she heard CARL!!! "Look what you did! His sister is right there..."

AAAAAHHH!!! WHAT DO I DO? WHAT DO I DO? WHAT DO I FREAKING DO?! SOMEONE, HELP ME!!! THIS IS NOT GOOD, THIS IS HORRIBLE! I KNEW I'D REGRET THIS! WHY DID I EVEN TRY? MY LIFE IS RUINED! ALISON KNOWS A LOT OF PEOPLE, SHE'S POPULAR! IF SHE TELLS, THEN I-I, I'M DOOMED!!!!!

I started to beat up Carl then gave up so I ran off. AAAAAHHH!!!

[AFTER SCHOOL, AT HOME, STILL SCARED OF LIFE]

I have to think of something, something, something, something, something, something, something, something, something, something, something, anything... ah, I'm empty.

When in doubt, siren the sis.

"Hey Appi, what would you tell someone if you did something out of the ordinary but regretted it?" I asked as casually as possible, holding back my shiver of fear.
"That's easy. I'd tell them someone dared me," Dared me! Of course! It's genius!
"Thanks bye," I quickly turned around to get my phone from my room.
     "Wait, why?" Darn...
"What? I can't hear you!" I continued walking, hehehe, sweet revenge.

I got to my room and hopped onto my bed, my phone almost falling off. I quickly called Nate to tell him.

     "Hi Nate!,"
"Uh, Cal? Care to explain something?"
     "Like?"
"Slapping Carl sore, for one matter?"
"Oh, sorry bout that. I got a little freaked after he 'announced' that I like you," *shiver*
     "But actually... do you?"
"All I can say's that, truthfully, it was a dare,"
     "Oh, it was a dare,"
"Yeah, I'm not supposed to tell you that it is but, would you mind explaining that to Alison?"
     "Sure, sure. Why not?"
     "Thanks a bunch!"
     "Bye."

Problem solved. I'm living la vida loca!

[THREE DAYS LATER]

"So, still up for a little girl time at Chocolate?"
"Of course, Cindy. I'm just a little depressed that my sis can't go,"
     "Bummer, she's a real joy,"
     "She got stuck in tuition,"
     "For?"
     "Maths,"
"But I thought that was her ace subject?"
"Yeah but apparently someone cut curfew the night before the test,"
     "Apple?"
"I saw it with my own eyes, she was so sugar high, she actually screamed 'I'm a rebel!' then jumped out the window,"
"Sigh, only Apple can go that crazy,"
     "You bet'cha."

Ah, good times, good times. I wish I had less homework, that way I can go crazy like Apple. It must be fun. I remember our 'Sister Night', gosh, our neighbours filed a law suit.

[THAT AFTERNOON, AT CHOCOLATE CAFE/BISTRO]

I'm starting to wonder, how did Cindy and I stop rivaling? I guess it's cause she's in a mess with Nate so she has no one else much she wants to hang with. Huh, when the Sun collides with the planet, well, actually, I don't know...

"Hey, just randomly asking, what's going on between you and Nate?"
     "Oh, I, uh, nothing much,"
"He is really sorry you know,"
"You think I should just accept his apology?"
"He'd love it, even if you were 25 years late,"
     "I am kinda late,"
     "It's okay."

-Cindy's view- [Ending]

I got out my handphone and got up and walked a few feet away. I dialed in his number and waited for him to pick up.

"Cindy?" I haven't heard his voice in some time.
"Right here. I need to tell you something first,"
     "Of course, go ahead,"
"I'm transferring to Roosevelt Boarding School,"
     "But-, I mean, where?"
     "Arizona,"
"At least its not too far,"
     "Where are you transferring to?"
     "Lyndon Institute in Vermont,"
"Vermont? That's all the way across the country!"
"I know, I know, but Vermont was named the smartest state in 2005 and 2006. My parents really want me to attend a school there,"
     "Alright then,"
     "Sad eh?"
     "Bye?"
     "Bye. We're okay?"
     "Yes, we're okay."

PHEW! I spent like 4-5 hours STRAIGHT on this, slept THEN CONTINUED FOR LIKE 2 HOURS! By the way, the schools are real. Cindy's school name isn't though but it's based on one. And FYI, the story takes place in California. YOU BETTER ENJOY IT!
